1. 20-Minute Consultation
To begin, I offer a free of charge 20-minute consultation to better understand the challenges your child or young person is facing, and to explore what support they feel would be most helpful.
2. Therapeutic Consultation/ Detailed Assessment Service
If, after our call, we decide to move forward, the next step will be an assessment. This allows me to gain a deeper understanding of the child’s inner world through free play sessions, psychological testing, and parent interviews. As part of this process, I will meet with the child for three assessment sessions, after which I will share the findings and recommendations with the relevant parties. Many families find the assessment process itself to be very therapeutic.
3. Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Following the assessment, if psychotherapeutic support is considered appropriate and agreed upon by all parties, a tailored treatment plan for psychotherapy will be put in place. This will include regular sessions with the child or young person, along with periodic reviews with parents. If a different form of support appears more suitable, I will provide guidance and recommend the best options for further help.
Parent Consultation Service
Sometimes it may not be necessary to offer a child individual psychotherapy, and offer support to parents/carers. If you are concerned about your child feeling very sad or angry, worried or depressed, it can sometimes be helpful to talk things over with a qualified professional.
My services are strictly private and confidential.
Sessions and consultations can be offered face to face or remotely.
I can provide sessions in English and Spanish.
